Well, i just found out what started this conflict in Chechnya. Chechnya requested independence from Russia. Russia bombed the would-be capital.
No fucking wonder they have a rebel terrorist group attacking them. They pretty much asked Al-Queada to join in on the conflict.
And Russia should obliterate the rebels.
The rebels seems quite reasonable, they only have Al-Queada connections and are using bad methods.
I read into some of the history of the conflict. As it seems, the area's being trying for independence for many years. It seems to me that even if these rebels are crushed, more will come up. I don't think this conflict will go away until the region gets independence.
Still, it doesn't seem like thats gonna happen until all the oil is mined out.

Negotiations with Chechen militants are absolutely pointless for Russia. Past events have repeatedly proved that. The Chechen side began to violate the 1996 Khasavyurt agreement immediately after it was signed.
Now, if the media you and a few dozen million people read did not need to be shot for being so biased against Russia because of the cold war which is still going on media-wise, you would realize how IDIOTIC is to support those rebel invaders. Not to mention they are talibans, and they want to turn the area into afgheyistan II. But news agencies like AP, Reuters, etc. are just useless.
To hell with them. Russia should bomb the fuck out of their sorry muslim asses until they beg for peace and stop causing trouble.
